Telquist – Taste – Music Video of the Month

The German Indie Pop and self-proclaimed slacker band Telquist recently released a supremely chill music video for their track Taste. The apathetic delivery in this song can be found everywhere in its composition and performance from the subdued lyrics, muted guitar licks, muffled drums to the seamlessly blended bass lines. Telquist is the solo project of Regensburg area musician, Sebastian Eggerbauer in Telquist’s live configuration Eggerbauer is joined by Christoph Hundhammer (guitar, keys), Thomas Huck (bass) and Max Gerisch (drums). Taste is an exceptionally catchy pop song with an enticingly captivating video that complements its distinctive sound.

The video which is largely shot underwater is the perfect visualization of the relaxing timbre of the song. Sebastian full clothed in a fancy suit swims past bandmates and party attendees all of whom are casually fully submerged in an in-ground pool. The song makes some nautical references and alludes to mythology which perfectly aligns with the water-like flow of this track.

This clever music video dropped on May 22nd, 2020, and was directed by the talented Munich area director an editor, Bernhard Schinn. This beautiful video, which is our August music video of the month was funded by the German Federal Commissioner for Culture & Media This is not the only Telquist directed by Bernhard Schinn music video. The duo also worked on the music video for Telquists song Trash Talk.

Taste was produced and mixed by Mario Fartacek and Alex Lausch and mastered by Martin Scheer. The video was filmed by Armin Kottek and produced by Marcel Chylla. Telquist has concert tour dates scheduled for the end of this year the status of which remains unclear. Telquist is also slated to play Popsalon Festival in April 2021 after it’s cancellation of 2020 the festival is hopeful to be held with no interruptions Listen to Telquist on Spotify, Itunes, Youtube and your favorite digital stores and platforms!
