Powerman 5000 & September Mourning | Sunshine Studios Live
Powerman 5000 brought the power to Sunshine Studios Live and tore the house down with an unforgettable performance. With support from local acts Burning Fieldz & Glass Helix, Powerman 5000, The Great Alone & September Mourning packed the house at Sunshine Studios Live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Originating in Boston in 1991 Powerman 5000 (PM5K) has honed their signature industrial metal sound through many years releasing 10 studio albums and touring extensively. Finding commercial success in the 90’s with songs featured in many popular video games the band has gone on to garner a cult following of die-hard fans.
Powerman 5000 is slated to play a number of festivals this summer including AfterShock In in Sacramento, CA at Discovery Park October 10th – 13th 2024, Louder Than Life in Louisville Kentucky September 26-29th as well as other appearances including Sick New World In Las Vegas on April 27th. The band will return to Colorado this July at the Wild Goose Saloon in Parker, CO.
Powerman 5000 teleported everyone in attendance at Sunshine studios to the past…to 1999…or maybe..to the future? Their cyberpunk aesthetic and heavy yet energetic sound is a spectacle for all music fans to enjoy. Their high energy performance paired with lasers on their instruments (yes, *queue the Dr Evil voice*, freakin lasers) had the crowd at Sunshine studios absolutely jumping! Next time Powerman 5000 is in a city near you, do yourself a favor and go to that show.

Burning Fieldz
Is a band located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They performed as a 3-piece on Sunshine Studios Live on Friday March 22nd. 2024. Their debut album, “Mind Oil “Produced By The Legendary ChipZNuff was released in July 2023.
Glass Helix
Beginning in 2019 the Colorado Springs based band, Glass Helix have been working hard since their inception and it shows in their charismatic on-stage performance. Glass Helix believes that life is fragile and should not be taken for granted, an ethos that is found in all of their music. Utilizing thought inspiring lyrics and mixing harmonious and heavy elements, Glass Helix hits hard on every level.
The Great Alone
Carried by a classic rock instrumental base, including guitar, bass, and drums, The Great Alone finds their sound at the crossroads of alternative rock & metal, skillfully evoking the paradox between grounded reality and tipping into the realm of imagination. The Great Alone distinguishes itself by its unique musical and vocal identity, which can be placed inside the alternative rock genre. Their debut album “Perception” was released on January 26, 2024. The Great Alone joined Powerman 5000 & September Mourning on this recent tour. This tour is their first US tour.
September Mourning
September Mourning can best be described as A dark pop culture fantasy for both your ears and eyes. September Mourning is based on a graphic novel created by singer Emily Lazar and comic book legend Marc Silvestri. The band gives the characters of the graphic novel life on stage through their alluring costumes and stage presence. The performance given by September Mourning at Sunshine Studios was nothing short of captivating, electricity filled the room as the crowd gave the band their undivided attention. Their album Volume IV was released in 2023 and is available on streaming services. The band is now on tour with Priest and Julien K, check out their website for tour dates near you.
