IV – EPEP – Musician Spotlight

IV, the 6 piece alternative band from NJ blends fun alt styles including pop, ska/reggae-influenced hip-hop, rhythm & blues, and rock. Their 2021 release EPEP is 5 well-produced tracks displaying the many styles this band enjoys writing in.

IV has created a great teaser for the EP that was released on April 4th, 2021.

Shot in a drug commercial-style informercial the boys promote their new EP with an endearing twist on all too familiar motif.

Jumping from dull, grey, sad scenes to vibrant colorful ones the band shows off their skillset.

“…Ask your doctor if the EPEP is right for you”

This debut EP is a collection of IV’s earliest artistic expression. It tells a story of romance, heartbreak, brotherhood, and friendship between a group of friends who feel they were somehow brought together by the universe.

Iv refuses to be defined by a genre or label and chooses to go with the catch-all ‘alternative’ genre to describe their many sounds.

Being inspired by a multitude of music the band does not want to be pigeonholed or defined by a genre.

The debut EP features such notable songs as Fuckboy, The Good Ones & WTW (What’s the Wave?) all written in their own distinct style.

This 5 track ep explores themes akin to the young adult experience such as free education, toxic attachment, and friendship.

The EPEP is accessible on all streaming platforms and is available for digital download on IV’s Bandcamp for $4.
