Weekly Feature | Put a Coat On – The Neverends

After playing to a packed crowd at their record release show 2 short months ago The Neverends follow up with a stunning new music video. The 4 piece indie-rock group from Bergen County NJ released a video for their song “Put a Coat On”. The highly anticipated music video was produced and co-directed by Abbey George and Edited by Brittney Briggs who has created notable shorts such as Why we Worry and Forgiveness May Be Considered. This provocative song is the 4th track off the Neverends independent February release Party Boi. Put a Coat On has a very smooth danceable flow to it; the tone of the suggestive chorus is curious and alluring. In this music video, the viewer follows singer Myles Yambao through a wild house party, could tonight be his lucky night?

The video begins as all good stories do, in the bathroom. Yambao awakens on the floor mid-party; from his stupor and stumbles off into the raging party while the band rocks a living room performance among the chaos. Amidst the disorder of people drinking, flirting and hooking up are wild party scenes including a fire-breather near the pool. Director of Photography Eddie Yasin creates tasteful shots with the imaginative imagery found throughout the set. The suggestive chorus is reminiscent of Julian Casablancas’s famous crunchy reverb filled vocals over a steady sensual melody. The glitchy trails and tracers type effect used in the video give it a unique psychedelic vibe.

Much like in the scenes from this music video The Neverends know how to party and are well known for their live shows around the Montclair scene regularly bringing a crowd wherever they go. Put Your Coat on was recorded at Sky Studios in Paramus NJ and was produced, mixed and mastered by Jordan Meltzer. The NeverEnds are Myles Yambao (Vocals, Guitar) Tyler Jon Becker (Drums) Stephen Pale (Guitar) and Gerassimos Giannoulis(Bass).
