Rearrange – Tony Goff & The Broken Colours – Musician Spotlight

Rearrange, the latest track from High Wycombe, United Kingdom band Tony Goff & The Broken Colours is a smooth new take on contemporary jazz-rock with funk, and indie undertones rounding out its snappy sound. The guitar tone is crisp, the vocals are subversive and decadent, the drums are round and full, the bass carries the melody and the horns are the icing spread tastefully along the musical cake. The single, released on New York City’s award-winning label Bentley Records, is the band’s first release of 2020. This track was recorded pre-pandemic, back in January with engineer Antonio Hannah at Free Fall Studios in London and mixed & mastered by Paul Frost at Sonomax.

Tony Goff & The Broken Colours are no strangers to achieving success on the charts. Having had their self-titled EP reach #66 on Itunes Alternative charts in March 2017 showcasing the band’s distinct songwriting abilities. Since their formation in 2013, after founding members had won London’s Be On The Scene contest, the group has gone on to give many performances at notable UK festivals such as CamdenRocks and The Great Escape.
