4 Indie Music Videos to Watch Right Now
|The only thing better than great music is a spectacular visual aid to accompany it. This post will explore 4 exciting indie music videos from bands in various genres.
These indie music videos include awesome animation, thematic displays of ambiance, and visuals that go far beyond the normal levels of trippy.
Termination Dust – Pull & Peel
Some really great stop motion animation in this video using some art supplies, action figures. This release comes via Portlands Glacial Pace Records.
This dream-pop band from Anchorage Alaska dropped this clever video in 2020 after releasing their full-length album, Growing Down in January 2020.
The band cites that this stop motion indie music video took over 30 hours of filming to create, not to mention editing hours.
Crumb – Locket
Ok, we’re not even sure if this video was filmed on the same inter-dimensional plane we are all familiar with. The visuals in this video are absolutely mind-melting say the very least.
Crumb seemingly pumps these videos out overnight releasing many quality indie music videos over the years.
Their next anticipated album, Ice Melt will be out on April 30th.
Moldy Roses – I Hope I Fucking Die Soon
*CW: Suicide*
Moldy Roses a punk band from, California released this charmingly morbid video earlier this week via LA record label wiretap records.
Moldy Roses can be described as sharp poetic rhetoric tacked above a catchy angst-filled joyride.
This marks the 3rd music video released by this band in a calendar year which is absolutely a grind we can respect & appreciate. We say keep em coming!
Cal In Red – Zebra
This supremely chill track is paired with an equally chill indie music video. The band makes good use of a projector using contrasting light and dark imagery such as superimposed stars, moons, and suns giving this video a nostalgic vintage vibe. The band kicks up the lofi vibe having filmed this video in various basements & bedrooms.
Cal In Red, the Grand Rapids, MI-based band of siblings who draw influence from Tame Impala, Porches & Beach House takes its name from the bandmates younger brother, Cal and his love of the color red.
The band has been collectively creating since November 2018. Stream their first two singles Dang and Down now!
