Weatherworn | Head in Hands | December Music Video of the Month

Weatherworn a 5 piece indie rock band has become a favorite here at Mad Indie Media having their music featured on our Indie Attic playlist last month. Since then the band has kept busy releasing an exciting new music video for their track “Head in Hands”. A song with a simple message swallowing your pride, apologizing, getting it off your chest, and cleaning your conscience. Drawing influence from many late 90’s early 2000’s pop-punk and indie rock bands such as The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, and Weezer the 5 piece from Northern Virginia offer up their fresh take on a familiar sound.

Weatherworn boists an energetic pop-punk sound similar to many artists on the Vagrant Records music label. With songs tackling motifs typical to young adults the first listen to this track is very relatable.

Our band of boys can be seen rocking out in what appears to be a playground within a pediatric optometrist’s office which is undoubtedly a “sight to see” as far as music video sets go (see what I did there). Shots cut between the band rocking out as themselves and, of course, as a group of animals, all touting different animal masks while wearing formal attire in a fancy restaurant – an interesting yet sensible contrast. All in all a solid video bringing us home for the last month of 2020.
