Featured as April music video of the month Bee Song clocks in at just about a minute in length; it’s a short, sweet, and simple song about liking things that may be bad for you.
This video shot by Shibby Productions displaying many interesting shots including some taken with an aerial drone.
Featuring members of Apes of the State, Harrisburg, PA area folk-punk trio Local News Legend loves making some strumming & humming tunes!
May – Fuzzy Coleman – This Morning Will Make You Sick
Smooth & heavy are the only ways to describe the sounds delivered by NJ rockers FuzzyColeman with their song This Morning Will Make You Sick, chosen as our May music video of the month.
With an incredibly artistic video shot by Gabriel Francis to match the uniqueness of this song, the visual appeal in this video does not end.
The intriguing shots, use of darkness, and contrasting vibrant colors is eye-catching and enchanting.
This surely is a video that you will want to watch more than once.
June – Soapbox Sound – Prozac
SoapBox Sound created a unique video utilizing various vintage camera shots which caught our eye this June.
The timing of this song is sycnhed nicely with clips from silent films including shots from Charlie Chaplin movies.
The timber of this song fits perfectly with visuals aid provided by our friends from yesteryear.
July – Not Ned – Muck Around
Not Ned, Manchester United Kingdom’s hometown heroes recently released their debut album“Every Cloud…” a powerhouse packed full of exciting gritty indie-punk anthems reminiscent of old school Green Day, Fear, Circle Jerks, and Social Distortion with a unique sense of working-class sentimentality.
This video displays some proper English drinking spliced with a compilation of silly intoxicated people falling down.
This video is like a car crash you feel bad for those folks involved but you just can’t look away.
Not Ned frequents the bar scene around Manchester regularly playing at various popular pubs & alehouses.
Their honest lyricism and straightforward songwriting paired with high energy live performances are admired by their fans around the bar scene in Manchester.
August – Telquist – Taste
The German Indie Pop and self-proclaimed slacker band Telquist’s music video for their track Taste was a great choice for August as the song provided some much-needed chill to one of the hottest months of the year here on the east coast in the United States.
Appearing to be shot largely underwater this visually appealing music is a must-see.
The apathetic delivery in this song can be found everywhere in its composition and performance from the subdued lyrics, muted guitar licks, muffled drums to the seamlessly blended bass lines.
Taste is an exceptionally catchy pop song with an enticingly captivating video that complements its distinctive sound.
September – Elephant Jake – Hardwood Coolwhip
In true DIY fashion, this homemade-style video looked like a ton of fun to film’ and if it’s anything Elephant Jakes knows it’s fun.
The boys film themselves in suburban bliss, swimming, playing music, and smashing TVs of course.
Elephant Jake has such a dynamic sound that is easy for anyone to groove along with.
October -Big In Sheboygan – In Rat Park (They Don’t Like The Drugged Water)
UK math rockers Big in Sheboygan released a killer album earlier this year as well as an aesthetically stimulating and curiosity-invoking music video for their track In Rat Park (They Don’t Like The Drugged Water).
The song begins with a jangly-twinkly guitar riff, the beat of the song clicks along varying between choppy bits, marches, and melodic interludes.
This band deals largely in intricate & ambient instrumentals that are full of energy & and chill all at once that anyone can enjoy.
November – Impossible Colors – Different Frames
NY alternative rockers Impossible Colors gave us our November music video with their song Different Frames.
Heavily influenced by 90’s indie rock the likes of Modest Mouse, Pixies, and Brand New Impossible Colors puts their own spin on a classic sound.
Impossible Colors is a 4 piece Drinkin’ coffee, makin’ chocolate, and playin’ music band from Nyack NY.
This was a fun music video to watch it makes you wonder if the protagonist has an acting background …or is just plain unstable.
December – Weatherworn – Head in Hands
Drawing influence from many late 90’s early 2000’s pop-punk and indie rock bands such as The Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, and Weezer the 5 piece from Northern Virginia offer up their fresh take on a familiar sound.
Weatherworn boists an energetic pop-punk sound similar to many artists on the Vagrant Records music label. With songs tackling motifs typical to young adults the first listen to this track is very relatable.
Weatherworn’s uplifting and vigorous sound leaves the listener with feelings of invigoration eagerly awaiting the next listen.
