Miniluv – The Concept Album – Grey

We sat down with poetic post-hardcore rockers in Miniluv at their practice space in Denver Colorado. The 4-piece band has just released a new concept album about the life of a dog, Grey. The concept album explores writing through the lens of the life of a dog named Grey. 

The album follows along the story and the many trials and tribulations a dog may face in their life. This album touches upon the emotional connection we have to our pets and the unmatched connection between owner and pet. 

The band who takes part in some animal rights advocacy has taken the opportunity to educate their listers about the harsh realities some dogs face in this life. Please check out the miniluv social media accounts and see some of this content for yourselves as it can be quite eye opening. 

The album itself is filled with some premium post-hardcore riffs and instrumentation layered over thoughtful instrumental interludes spliced with passages of poetic clarity that make this concept album truly unique. 

Following the journey from life to death Grey explores the at times morbid at times triumphant freedom and challenge filled life of a dog. Each song is a journey both musically and lyrically. A song that may start one way can end somewhere entirely different but one thing that is for certain each song is an absolute voyage through time, space and the eyes of a beloved dog named Grey. 

Recently touring the north-east in support of the new concept album, Grey, Miniluv has some shows along Colorado’s Front Range for the remainder of the summer including 7/13 at Globe Hall in Denver as well as an appearance or 2 at Colorado Springs Vultures later this Summer. .
