Anthem Live Studios hosts the 3rd Colorado Musicians Meet

These are the things no one tells you, the things you had to grind and find out for yourself, this is the exact type of information given out at the Colorado Musicians Meet up. The organizer and event host is someone who very humbly doesn’t want the credit…
…His name is Reid Givens and he and his wife Brittany of Brittany and the Blisstones have been putting together these conference style events aimed at helping you become a better musician.
The events which last approximately 3 or 4 hours hosts a variety of speaker events and panel discussions.
The most recent event took place at Anthem Live Studios in Colorado Springs on Sunday October 5th. The event ran from 3 pm to 6 pm and included several talks by industry professionals
Talk included in this session of the Colorado Musicians Meetup included an introduction by organizer Reid Givens in which the group was welcomed and shared wins and needs.
This is a community event with community at its forefront and it was a beautiful thing to have a group of people sharing positive information and maybe even asking for help if needed.
Reid gave a talk about Live Sound for Music and Bands. In this talk he dove deep into the dynamics of sound and how to set up sound for optimal performance based on rooms, or lack thereof and well as many hints, tips and tricks to get the best sound out of your board.
Musician Cami Maree spoke on Songwriting Tips. Cami, an alternative-soul-rock singer based in Colorado Springs has been writing songs for many years and in her talk shared her insights on tips and tricks to putting the elements of a composition together to write that song you’ve always dreamed of.
Musicians for the band Jag Panzer, Mark Briody, spoke about Unusual Promotion Techniques. In his time touring Eurpope with his metal band Jag Panzer, Mark has picked up a following and he has kept them hooked with his unconventional promotion techniques.
Jazz player Nathan McMahonspoke on Music Theory for Songwriting. Nathan, an increible musician shared some of that mnusuic brain with everyone in attendance on Anthem Live Studios. It’s truly amazing what a little bit of theory can unlock.
Mad Indie Media gave a talk on how to pitch to music publications. In the nearly 5 years we’ve been doing this we’ve seen pitches that are great, good, bad, ugly, and even a few WTF pitches. There’s a method to the madness and we are totally open to sharing it!
Another one of the hosts, TerryJosiah Sharpe, founder and CEO of Anthem Live Studios spoke on turning your passion into profit. TerryJosiah has had his work cut out for him. Opening Anthem Live Studios studio just prior to the pandemic and then having to pivot quickly due to COVID restrictions.
The resilience of TerryJosiah and the staff at Anthem Live Studios are insane! They have expanded, made many efforts to bring the community together, and consistently dedicate time and energy to building the music industry in Colorado Springs.
The next Colorado Musicians Meet up Will be on December 8th at Sunshine Studios. More details will be coming later.
