Dad’s Change of Pace Open Mic 3/22/23 6:30 PM

The Mad Indie Media open mic finds yet another home in a beloved Port Jervis bar, Dad’s Change of Pace. The open mic will take place Wednesday March 22nd with signups beginning at 6:30 PM and music beginning at 7:00 PM. We welcome all musicians, poets, comedians, rappers, singers, spoken word artists, and various talented people to come share your gifts with a budding community of artists. As always at any open mic please come prepared with your own instruments, backing tracks and any other necessities for your set. 

Dad’s Change of Pace, a hometown favorite bar often referred to simply as Dad’s is located at 172 Pike St in Port Jervis NY. Dad’s offers an array of mixed drinks that you find at any sport’s bar as well a variety of canned, bottled and draft beers, including pints of select beer for $3.00. Dad’s Change of Pace also offers limited food including pizzas, hot pretzels and unlike many other bars in the area Dad’s will stay open to 4:00 AM on busy nights however they are subject to closing as early as 2:30 AM. Dad’s also offers a rotating special drink menu, and on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays serves hot dogs with all the trimmings (kraut, chili, cheese and onions). On Wednesday’s from noon to 7 Dad’s Change of Pace serves delicious pirogies.

Dad’s is a great venue to sit back, relax and have a few drinks with good company and watch your favorite live sporting events or just to just hangout and play pool. Dad’s also hosts live music about once a month; with this month’s guest being The Parting Glass performing on and in honor of St. Patricks Day.

Set times will be determined based on turnout but please come prepared with 15 minutes of material. In the event this open mic goes late we will run through the list a second time as is customary at our open mic events.
